Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

WOYWW - 17th February

Good morning from a very frosty North Staffordshire. Am I glad I'm on the inside looking out!  This is the front our bungalow -  the view from my craft room.    Anyone walking down the drive can see just what I'm up to, which is a blessing in itself because it does encourage me to keep it fairly tidy, but the Postie knows I don't aways manage it!  By the way,  the bars on the windows are to keep me in crafting, not to keep you out!

Today you can come in too because it's WOYWW - here's a view of some of my craft storage space that is behind me as I craft. It's further away than I would like, but then on the good side - it's makes me move!

When we had a small extention added to this room, it was supposed to be for an area to chill out in, read a book, listen to music.  Sounded like a good idea at the time,  but often in the midst on a project there's no where to sit, or lie for that matter!  So failed on that one!!   Am I bothered?  Defo Not - I have more room to craft.(eh eh).  The unit is from Ikea and a cupboard with doors was a must for me, although they are usually more tidy than the floor.  On the  shelves of the small cupboard I keep replacement essentials - adhesives, inks, poly bags, bits and bobs etc., and in the other my crafting CD's, clear stamps in stored in CD cases rescued from my big sort out.  The files contain papers (a few of them) and the rest of the boxes house embellishments.

This is my desk this morning....not a lot going on.  Yesterday the Postie delivered some new embossing folders.  I tried out the swirls and vines on a card base that had been lying about for an age, but then found after much searching that I had nothing suitable to put on it.  So turned to something else, and then realised that I was soooo tired that whatever I did wouldn't work, so I put the light out and went and had a whisky and watched the tele!  The light by the way is where I hang my camera - this way it doesn't disappear.

Can't show you my drawers, but can show you my shelves above.  Have a look round Andrea - sorry I  missed your BD - you will find your card here to view.  Will deliver personally on Saturday.

I had a light bulb idea an hour ago so must go check it out, so see you around your workdesk soon.

I don't know if I should really be allowed to be your friend... you are SO tidy and I am SO messy! I've really enjoyed my snoop today Eileen. You are SO organised. Still it would do for us all to be tidy would it!

I LOVE having a nosey around other people's work spaces, though I have to admit I'd work under that lovely light window you have! Thanks for sharing ....

Rosie, I'd love to work under the window, but there's a problem - the shape of my desk would block the light and then there's the radiator! More than my life's worth to ask for it to be moved!! It was me that said it should go there in the first place.

Chrissie, as far as I'm concerned - two opposites make a perfect pair. Stay with me please!!

I think your room has worked out perfectly! Great storage unit, Ikea must have made a packet from all of us crafters, we all get our stuff there!

Hugs
Brenda (who still loves your curtains, and now the view out of your window!)

Ya see, I have doors onthe cupboards to hide any lazy messy storing going on. You have them so that you can swing them open and bask in the glorious organisation! Your space looks good, am sure Andrea will love that card!

How tidy are your cupboards I thought the doors are there to hide untidyness! Loving the paper on your desk. Hugs Pam x

being the nosey type - I zoom in on the pics where this allows - and I spy something... Is that black and white card one that Chrissie made???

I love your space Ikki - hope you've got a chair on wheels so you can roll backwards and forwards from your desk to your cupboard and back again.

Hey Ikki
My photos are hosted on my website and I noticed it was very slow to upload today, just hit F5 on your keyboard to refresh the page again. I've had another look at your lovely front garden (I have a thing about conifers, brilliant in the winter!), is the big green one on the right a Hemlock?

Hi Ikki - you asked what I was buying when you saw my purse on my desk... more a case of what i'd just bought... Chrissie linked me to a site which sold a punch I asked her about (stamens) so I followed the link and bought a couple more things - nothing exciting - a couple of pokey tools and can't remember what the other thing was til it arrives!! Also had bought some more promarkers the day before and a couple of things from Liz's store - the link you provide from your site - I do love her e-bay shop and have been several times now - thanks to you (you should get a discount)!!

is that a fold out desk bureau thingie? I like those but would be quite terrified of pulling it over when I lean on it as I do when dealing with awkward paper or stamps!! ;-)
