Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

WOYWW

Hi, How nice of you to visit today.  I'm feeling like Miss Goodie Two Shoes this morning.  Why?  Because over the last couple of weeks I have been reorganizing my craft space, and I'M NEARLY THERE.  The lastest push came yesterday when Dave arrived at the door hoover in hand but with no where to go!

This box stores  envelopes, some card, printer paper - messily
Other cardstock is here, and there. My main cardstock was in a cardboard box that meant I had to take the led off, but how often did I put it back?  Not very often!  And, it was on the other side of the room.

So,  I re-organised.  I'm getting into scrapping in a big way

By throwing away (yes I said throwing) 4 years of bits of this and that - simply moving a box and magazine rack - I had all my cardstock and envelopes together and a place for my trimmer and guiltine to sit - all close to my desk.  Why didn't I do this before?  (The mag rack does actually need a clear out - but that's for another day!)
I know from experience that my neat and tidy space will not last - that the floor will not remain clear - but for today when I opened the door.....

floor...the time and effort was definite worth it!  Looking back....
Not sure why I put the waster paper bin on top of my ribbon boxes?
On my desk - not a lot.  My to do list - with pencil to encourage me to actually do and then cross out!   A card to remind me to send a thank you card.  A punch that I bought on Saturday from the Stitch and Craft Show that doesn't work - very frustrating!!!! The dark blue card is my next project which I hope to complete later today, unless the postie arrives with an expected parcel.  With all my newly created space, I have ordered some crafting goodies which I hope will take my crafting into a new realm.

WOYWW - thanks for your help and inspiration to get myself sorted.  Oh, by the way did you notice the new man in my craft life?

It's a lovely room Ikki, and I guess you feel really fired up about crafting in it now! Sure, the floor will get use, but it can be tidied! Love to see your desk..it's very organised, like the use of the cutlery tray..great idea.

You are a little goody two shoes aren't you? I'm glad someone else uses the floor, I always think it's time to tidy when I can't see the floor any more!! Now if you could send Dave around with the hoover I'd be eternally grateful sweetpea.

ps I first spotted Nellie Snellon nestie style dies here - now I can't leave them alone, I cut 'em up, shove 'em here, push 'em there and it's all your fault.

What a lovely room Ikki - now I know where you sit to produce your magic!!! It puts it all into perspective. I share my space with 3 cats and the dog - the conservatory doubles up as his bedroom!!!

Nice and neat and lovely

Oh good grief!
You are just too organised for words. How can you produce such wonderful work and still have such a tidy, organised, clean, uncluttered workspace? I really can't compete... I guess I'll always be a messy person!
You have my total admiration!

Wow, so neat and tidy Ikki - long may it last!! I honestly think, I spend more time tidying and sorting than I do card making sometimes!! Juliex

Hi Ikki,
Doesn't it make you feel great when you do some cleaning & tidying up - it's very cathartic isn't it?
And I feel so much more enthused to craft if I'm not working in a mess because I can find all things like the ruler and scissors - and everything is where it should be. Kind of sparks my mojo.

Hiya Ikki-
Lovely clean space, it does make such a difference if it's all tidy and you know what you've got and where it's all at. Love the colourful curtains in this room.

Well done on your 'spring clean'. Your room looks great. Its always of interest to see how someone else organises all their millions of bits and pieces.
My sympathy goes out to you regarding the punch not working, I seem to get this happening alot, very frustrating considering how much they cost!
