Nestabilities Pendant and Border dies - Chocolate Baroque Doodle Stamps

Monday does seem to come round quicklythese days!  Today for my tutorial I thought I would show you another of my DT cards, this time using one of the new Doodle stamps......
Materials used:
A4 sage green card, extra sage green, dark green and white card, decorative paper
Nestabilies Pendant and Border die: Spades
Nestabilies: Classic Squares, and Oval
CB: Doodle Rose
Creative Expression Mask : Ivy
Distress inks, Marvy la Plume pens, ribbon

Method:  Centre score and fold A4  sage green card.
With large square die emboss onto the card using the sandwich I gave you a couple of weeks ago.  - you will the recipe on my embossing page.   Or you could use a magnetic mat - you will find info and examples on how to do this in the label section on my sidebar under Magnetic mats.
Cut the second smaller coloured square and emboss with a mask or folder.
Cut and emboss the Pendant die from decorative paper.
Cut and emboss the border from the same card as the base card. (I left the cutouts in place and secured with tape).
Cut an oval from white card - colour the stamp with Marvy la Plume pens and then stamp - emboss with the mask and colour with DI's.
Assemble, threading the ribbon through the pendant and fix on the back of the square.

Hope you're still with me this take some explaining!   And,  that you are tempted to try the embossing - yet another way of using your dies -  and all your dies can be used this way!  It may sound difficult but it's really easy - trust me I'm a Cuttlebug crafter (lol).

Cuttlebug Cupboard - Follower's Gallery

Well here we are at Follower's Friday again!  How time flys when you're having fun with PC's and Snow!

Today's card in the gallery is from Rica. Heather is an old blogging friend, and a very talented crafter. She always says she struggles with just White cards, but not with this one - Girl, you did real good! Drop by and see some more of her work - you will not be disappointed.

Not only is the colouring superb, but what creative use of the Fleur de lis Pendant die....

By twisting the pendant and then adding 4 of the smaller dies to each corner - you have a larger square! Nice one Heather - good thinking!

Spellbinder - Pendant Die - Spades Design

Hi, For my 29th card I have used my new Pendant Die - unfortunately the light is bad today and with the gold mirror card reflecting the flash - this piccy won't win any photographic contest, but I think you will see how the die has cut and what a classic design Spellbinder's have give us.

I've really gone gold with this one!  Looking a the picture - I think I should have used a larger centre for the snowflake.  I'm sure I've got one somewhere!?!!?!??!?

Whilst playing with some dies and a magnetic mat, guess what - I broke the C Plate.    I have 2 spare B's, but guess what - Yes, you're right, I don't have a C.  At the moment it's got a bandage and doesn't look too well!  Pity I didn't listen to my own advice  - so take care when cutting Provocraft dies, they are thicker than the Spellbinder ones and can do damage.
