Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

WOYWW

Hi WOYWWer's, As you know my desk space is quite limited and I reached  a point yesterday where something had to move!  Sad to say, I didn't move that something quick enough and as a result my 2 bits and pieces boxes fell on my bit of space and then onto the floor!  All the scraps and labels, cut and never used, all my stamping experiments just thrown in the box lay scatter about me!!  Since I hadn't moved that something, something had to be done pronto!!!

I had to start by clearing up, then picking up, next after picking them up.... was looking through them, it was like finding old photographs....you have to stop, gaze and wonder all over again.  When did I do that? Why didn't I use it?  Can I use it now?

I ended up with dies, and odds and ends all over the place, and was still at a loss as what to do with them.
But, since I had been asked to make a few "Just to say" cards I followed this direction.  The cards needed to be useable for any occasion, including sympathy.....

This is one I made.  On looking at it again - I think I could have made two cards with one image on each.  How wonderful is hindsight!

Hope to catch up with you soon on the WOYWW blog hop!

Isn't it great when you go through a box and find things you had forgotten about. All of a sudden you have 'new' stash to play with.

I think the card is better with the 2 images. The way the birds are looking at each other just gives it a special feel to it..

Very elegant card and suitable for any occasion. Loved your story about things falling all around you - and I thought that sort of thing only happened to me...I also know what you mean about finding 'treasures' you'd forgotten you made.

Love those triple lines.Simple and elegant. I sympathise on the stash crash-almost as bad as a computer crash. Was giving details of your blog to some ladies at Manchester at the weekend. They were asking me questions about cuttlebugs and hadn't heard of you. I thought everyone knew about you! Just goes to show. LOL Betty with hugs a plenty

Well that's a lovely card, and yes you could have made two.....but if you've got all those scraps etc, you could equally have made six with two images on each! ;)

Sometimes one just has to bite the bullet and have a sort-out. I think I read on another blog that organising ones craft room can become a second hobby!
I am constantly dropping things on the floor too, it drives me crazy!
The simplicity of your card is instantly appealing, clean and it says it all really.

I like both images on this card. Did you emboss the side yourself? it is very pretty.

It's always fun to see old projects and you have found some lovely images. I love birds, so this was quite clever. Although I'm late getting here this week, had to stop by and wish you a happy belated WOYWW.

Love the card and I like the two embellishments on there.

Why is it always the messy box/basket that falls on the floor??

Well, that was a happy accident then! Have often wondered how you manage on a smaller surface than mine. Discipline and order, that's how! The card is gorgeous - a smaller one would bear a single image nicely, but I like the two on the C6 size.

Thanks for the snoop, your spill of bits gave lots to look at and the card you made is beautiful, to I guess that spill was serendipity.

I know the feeling when you spill a box full of stuff. You always end up finding some long lost gems but it's timewasting clearing and pouring through it all.
Love your card. Tried to post a comment yesterday but it wouldn't let me so I'm late,

I really love this beautiful card. My sister hates over complicated things & making cards for her is often difficult but your design has inspired me to take a look at my dies & see what i can achieve.
