Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

Nestabilitie Squares and Scoreboard - Fanned lines

Hi, Dave has not been well since late of Sunday evening, to the extent that he came very close yesterday to being re-admitted to hospital. Thankfully, the situation improved and now we are just taking a day at a time and hoping that the worst is over.

Since he is in bed resting and I needed to unwind, I thought I'd pop back to show you this "Just to say" card  I made recently:  a card for any occasion....

Materials used:  6" x 4" white hammer card
Image:    Inkadinkado Butterflies and Birds - triple embossed
Nestabilities: Small Squares
Scoreboard: Eaziscore

To achieve this fanned line effect - use the 2 lines as shown.  Do the first line corner to corner, then keeping the bottom corner on the first grove line, move the card to the second line and score again, and so on until you have your desired lines one way, then reverse to complete the design.

A simple but effective card that you could use for any occasion - today, if I were to write inside it would say "A Big Thank You to you all" for your positive and caring messages.

Stunning but simple design on this card Ikki. Sorry to hear Dave isn't now much better following his op. Tell hime to take things slowly and allow his body to heal at it's own rate. At times like this we need to listen to our bodies. Really hope things continue to steadily improve for him.
Hugs,
A x

Nice card Ikki, the fan gives a good effect. Sorry to hear Dave has had a set back, but pleased to know he has improved somewhat, it takes time eh? It must be very exhausting for you both.
I hope all goes well.

Sorry to hear you're both going through the mill at the moment. Sometimes it's more difficult for the other partner. I'll keep you both in my prayers, and be reminded to do this daily as yours is the first craft blog I click to! Thank you for your generosity in sharing all the tips and wrinkles - it's SO helpful. Loved today's card, by the way.

Now that is one stylish card! Very sophisticated!

Sorry to hear Dave not too good after his operation, and hope you are both bearing up under the strain. It's a worrying time, but let's hope and pray he's well on the road to recovery now. Thinking of you!

Such elegant simplicity in this card as always Ikki, you are sooo clever.
You have certainly had some dramas and Dave's body will take a while to recover from the shock of such unexpected op and severe inflammation. Praying for you in it all,
Shaz in Oz. x

This is just soooo beautiful, I have had my bug for over a year now but very rarely use it, since I have seen what you can do here, I will be dusting it off again for sure

Hi Ikki,
Sorry to learn that your hubby had to endure such a nightmare but hopefully his condition has improved by now and is recovering from his ordeal. I haven't been around much myself so had to read back through your posts. I reckon you both need some rest and recuperation after all you've been through so be kind to yourself.

I really like the elegant simplicity and classy look of this card - would suit so many different occasions. Would just like to ask whether the text is printed or stamped onto the hammered card as it is beautifully clear.

Hi Ikki,

Finally my comments seem to be going through without any hiccups this today.

This card is gorgeous. Such a stunning, crisp design and the fan of lines is a beautiful touch. I need to remember that one.

Hope you and Dave are both picking up now.
