Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

Cuttlebug - Happy Birthday Embossing Folder

This Happy Birthday embossing folder is really useful for that card you need in a hurry! Quick to emboss -  no sentiment needed, but I did round the corners.

For an embellishment I used a tag - inked the edges -  then used a new silhoutte stamp from Personal Impressions which has sat in my box for an age waiting for me to know what to do with it. Then I decided to add a sentiment after all.

With  a few beads and wire added to the butterfly.

As I said, a quick card.  I was pleased with this card because all the bits and pieces  used have been hanging about for a long time - I need to use more of my stash!   I do occasionally go through my storage boxes to see what I have forgotten about - I'm sure I'm not the only one who hordes  - it seems to be  a Crafter's disease!!

Cuttlebug Cupboard - Follower's Gallery

Good morning Cuttlers, hope you are all well, warm and happily crafting.

I'm looking for new ideas to keep the Cupboard an interesting place to visit, and when I was blog hopping I came across a card that made me smile.  It was a creative way to use die cuts, and also an  excellent way to get a smile on the recipient's face and get you out of a tricky situ.   The card made me think - why not start a  Follower's Gallery. There are a lot a very talented Cutters out there....so starting today, I'm going to show you some of their work.

My first card in the Gallery is from  Merry.

Luck Merry lives in Australia where the sun is shinning and you can hang out your washing!  It was through Merry's thoughtfulness in sending me some warm thoughts that I found her card. Drop by her blog and pick up some warmth for yourself!   Thanks Merry, this is very creative use of die cuts, great colours and layout and also so fitting for the occasion.  I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Each week I will pick a card to add to the Gallery, so if  you have a card that uses die cuts or folders in a  creative, innovative way and would like to have your work in the Gallery, please leave me a message so I can visit you.  How strange that I thought of this today on a Friday, so now apart from Tippy Thursday, I have a "Follower's Friday".  Look forward to hearing from you, there is only one condition - you will need to be a Follower - part of the Cuttlebug Clan!

Take care, stay warm and happy!
