Emboss your strip of card
Position die
Run through the Bug to this point and then run back again
so far....so good....you have your first cut
Place your die at the other end of the strip - part of the first cut will need to overlap the new cut and at this point it is important that they line up exactly
make your second cut
to this point - then run back again
your extended rectangle!
Sorry if I confused anyone with me brief instructions, hope these pictures will help you.
AND, thanks for letting me know - I would rather you tell me if I have made the instructions to brief, then I can put it right. Sometimes I do something automatically and forget that I have been doing it for a long time and that others may not have! Have a good day....

This looks great Eileen and I love the other card which you made using this technique. I am so pleased you have found a stamping style which you enjoy, I love messing with inks etc. Will you be coming on Tues evenings? I have been a couple of times and it would be lovely to see you there.

Ikki, thank you so much for the detailed instructions, now I have got it! I just couldn't figure out the 3/4 part - now, after seeing the pictures - it made sense to me. Thaks you so much for your effort to help me, I will definitely give it a try. I do not own Nellie Snellen dies, but I am sure that my Nestabilities will do the trick as well. Have a lovely weekend!

Thank you for this. I don't own Nellie Snellen Rectangles but I do have the squares. I tried this method with them and Voila rectangles!! Wonderful now I can get more use out of them.

Hi Ikki,
That's so brilliant. I suppose you could also do it the other way round, i.e. use a rectangle die to create a square. Or use a square to make a rectangle. Either way, it extends the versatility of the die and saves money - which I'm definitely in favour of! Really clever. I shall learn a lot on here.
