Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

WOYWW

Good morning WOYWWer's.  The sun is shining here in North Staffs, but it's cold and the bird bath is frozen over!  Just the kind of day to stay in and look at desks!  Here's mine......

quite tidy and the reason is that after my two cards on Monday and Tuesday I couldn't move or see anything and then another parcel arrived - so a clean up it had to be and I started again as you can see doing some colouring for my next project.  Only problem was I could not get my printer to reduce the size of the digital image - it did before so I'm a bit baffled!!!!  In my parcel were two new sets of dies - the Jumbo borders and the big scallop dies, also invested in a distress inks tool and a couple of the new colours of DI's - Forest Moss and Bundled Sage - oh I like them, not a little but a LOT!  Hawk-Eye, Julia our beloved leader will notice also my failed image lurking in the background.  Do you ever get that feeling that you should stop NOW, but don't?  Well I got the feeling, but DIDN'T - result SCRAP!

Now last week I was accused of being a teaser - afraid this week is no different.  I have removed the red cloth, but the project is still under wraps, to be precise.....
in the black box on the shelf out of reach and safely stored for ????? cannot say, but soon!

Just above my desk

two lovely cards received from friends.  One of whom I hope to meet on Sunday at a County bowls match in North Derbyshire. Whatever the result of the match, I can't lose - I'll get to meet another super blogging friend.  Thanks Julia you made this possible with WOYWW.  So, if you want to join the fun and make new friends - the link is on the sidebar - come on over, and we'll see you there!

Ikki Love that bureau. I've been eyeing my bureau in the living room and thinking this could be my craft when you want to watch TV too space but DH is not keen. "You already have a craft room-there is a spare telly -put it in there" but that involves wires and perhaps a satellite dish? oh and a space. I love your blog and the way you get everything out of your nesties and cuttlebug folders.Hugs Betty

Love the new dies and love the images you're colouring :)I've never tired reducing an image using the printer I use my Paint Shop Photo Album (came with Dell PC) software to do it.

Hi Ikki,
Glad you have sunshine in North Staffs..........not so good about the ice.
When I want to resize a digi image I open a Word document, and insert the image I want to use.
From there you can drag the handles of the image until it is the size you want it.
Then left click to remove the handles.
If you want more than one of the same sized image, just right click on your (now resized) image, check "Copy", them move the cursor to where you want the duplicate image to be, and right click "paste".

Hope this helps, and I apologise if it´s a case of grandmother´s eggs.

Love Jackie in Spain

I see no scrap Ikki, only beautiful homemade paper, and I use word too to resize images and so on. Lucky you getting to meet Paula, she had wondered if we could meet up when I'm in England in May so I sent her my itinerary!!! It's about 2,000 miles and covers the four corners of the UK pretty much. Oh well, another time, hope you have fun, both with Paula ans at the bowls match.

Hugs
Brenda

PS. Tried your embossing tip with the nesties, need a bit of practice but it worked ok, just need to control the tool a bit better around the corners etc.

I'm into this resizing at the moment or trying to learn to do it in Photo plus or Photo shop, or gimp or My Craft Studio even ! Usually, if I remember rightly, right click image and open in windows wmf (nero) go to file and press print then you have a chioce to fit page etc and changing the % or before all that, on the left it says print pictures and from there the print wizard lets you can chose any size, only trouble with that is, some of your images might lose their heads! OOORR what the other lady said above! (Lyn)

I spy with my little eye ....a packet of crisps....I try not to eat or drink as I craft because I would mess up what ever I was doing.

Love the image you are using.

Hi Ikki, I'm realizing from this WOYWW that cuttlebug is big in the UK. Are they made there? I have a Slice myself, but I'm pretty new to diecutting machines anyway (I just got mine for Xmas).

Oooh hope you have a lovely time today at the bowls match. :)
Your desk looks lovely. What a clever girl resizing on comp. I always shout of my daughter! Don't know what I'll do when she goes to uni! So sorry I'm so late calling. I definately need a few more hours in the day. I got here in the end! & well worth it. :) Best wishes. Gez.xx
