Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

Thoughts for Tuesday

Still trying to get sorted!  Stressed, disorganized, going round in circles!  Turned to my   Little book of calm
for help....read this which I thought was so appropriate to me and to many other crafters that I know (and love) and thought this I must share.

"BE RUTHLESS WITH PAPER.
Rid yourself of the burdon and distraction of non-essential information by using the wastepaper basket - ruthlessly!"

How many times have I saved a scrap of paper just in case!!!  An old card, or image that I didn't actually like,  SO.....taking a deep breath....and a black bag....I set to work.....

this is my third bag!

I do feel less cluttered: I can see some space on my shelves: I can find things in the cupboard.  I'm not saying that this will always be the case - but for now I feel better!  Dare I say CALM!!

You go girl! Keep up on that purging :) It's amazing how much better you feel when you get rid of a bunch of clutter. I am also guilty of keeping scraps and various items (for some future use...:D ), but about every year, 2 at the most I go through the recesses of my craft and scrap stuff and part with things I haven't used in that long. Sometimes it's more often than that, but if you haven't used it in a year or two, chances are you won't. Good for you, glad you're feeling a bit "calmer".. great book!

Hi - I had a clear out at the weekend - my Mum ended up with most of the stuff - she hates to see anything thrown out (guess what her craft room looks like??)!! I think a good blast every now and again is good for the mind - and soul!!

He he, well done, I managed to fill three black huuuuuge sacks full of absolutely rubbish. I cannot believe I just said that, but having done that I have superly impressed my boyfriend, cause every time he passed my desk he just shook his head in despair lol and now he smiles lol - I cannot believe some of the daft things I kept, all the while thinking to myself, oh I will use that some day!!! ha ha
