Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

Embossing Mats for the Cuttlebug

This is a query that I received from Barbara, but unfortunately Barbara you did not leave me any way of contacting you.

Your Question: You asked about embossing with a black mat from KARS, saying it was useless. Could anyone help.

My Answer: The mat you have purchased from Kars, is a black mat that is not suitable to embossing in the CB.  It is to firm a rubber to work.  You need a tan mat which is very flexible.   Spellbinders make them, or you can get alternative one's from various other craft suppliers. There is a link on my side bar to a supplier, who I can recommend.  If you continue to try embossing with the black mat, you are liable to break your machine.

I use a silicone baking sheet that i cut up ti fit my CB and this work well, you can use one or two pieces depending on what you are trying to emboss.
