Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

How the Cupboard can work for you!

Hi, so pleased you dropped by for the start of my tour round the Cupboard.

I started the Cupboard 23 months ago, the aim was to help owners of the Bug with tips, techniques and inspiration that I had discovered with using my own machine. Since then I have made over 360 posts covering all aspects of die cutting and embossing and I'm still learning!  I only have experience of owning the Bug, but know that all other machines will successfully produce the same result in die cutting and embossing that I use in my tutorials, but you will have to adjust the sandwich you use.  I do not give  instructions for these sandwiches at the moment, because you have the instructions with your own machines, but if you are in difficulty please contact me and I will try to help.

If you are new to die cutting and embossing and visiting the Cupboard for the first time, you will find at the top of the right hand sidebar a "link" that will take you to the first posts I made that give very detailed instructions on various techniques.  I suggest this to you because as a new owner you may need to gain the basics to enable you to move on!   Also if you're unfamiliar with the terminology/abbreviations that I sometimes use, you need to look on the right hand sidebar at the "Glossary".  This can be a useful tool to all as you can quickly see the Bug sandwiches for various tasks as well as explanations.

Immediately under the glossary you will find a "Link"  to "ikki's Corner" this is my other negected blog on which I post any work not relating to die cutting and embossing.  BUT, you are very welcome to visit.

Moving on you will come to "Labels"  - this is the most useful of sections!  From here you can view all the posts I have made relating to a specific subject, ie Squares, Triple Embossing, Die info and sizes.  If you are looking for ideas using a particular shaped die  - this is the place to visit first as I have recently upgraded each post!

You will also notice on the sidebar various galleries showing examples of my work and that of my followers which if you click on  the picture or arrow and you will be able to view the entries. If you have a card that you would like to put in my FFG, please contact me by leaving a comment under any post - you may not see the comment appear and that is because I receive a lot of spam mail and unfortunately have to okay each post separately.  Bless spammers - don't you love em!  If you would like to become a Follower of the Cupboard - just follow the link it's easy to join us - and I would be delighted to have you on board.

I have started my tour round the Cupboard with how to use the aids on the sidebar as this will be useful to many, tomorrow I will move on to how you can use dies in varous ways and you are invited to add your own views or discoveries.
Thanks for dropping by,  I hope you will find something interest in this post that will help you get the best possible use from the Cupboard archives.  The Cupboard is a comprehensive guide to die cutting and embossing and I want you to find it and use it!

Happy Cuttling,
