Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

WOYWW

Oh Julia, what a mess you're got me into this week!  I arrived home from my weekend away with an idea for today, even down to doing a quick sketch (not my usual thing) and eager to get started.   My desk looked like this......
After a few hours of frustration and realisation that my idea was not working tooooo well....

I ended up like this!  Project completed (not entirely to plan) but to make matters worse what I was working on was not for today but for ???? I don't know when!  Dave usually says I always late - eat your words this week Dave!  So now l'm completely confused!  I know it's Wednesday, heard it on the voting news, but what week WOYWW is it someone, please.....and when is anniversary week?  Mrs Dunnit, I dunna know!

PS: My hidden black box project is now unveiled in the post below and my thanks to all of you who have been on supportive with your kind comments.

To those of you who saw my previous post - thanks for alerting my that I was toooo sooooon!

It's so frustrating when things don't work and you end up spending ages and ages and sometimes end up throwing things in the bin. Fab card and butterfly in prev post :)

My Mom had a bureau very similar but in darker wood, was my Grandad's 21st Birthday gift from his parents in the 30's So loved it, but when my Mom passed away few years back my Brother got to it before me!

Thanks for the snoop

Take care

I think it is time you came clean with us Ikki. Something tells me you are keeping a secret stash elsewhere. There is no way you can keep all your crafty stuff in that one bureau!Love BettyXXX

Oh I hop ehtose aren't tear stained tissues in the desk top bin! How frustrating for you, I'm sorry if I've contributed by being clear as mud! This is week 48 and the anniversary is week 52. But if you've done it in advance, so what, let's see it! Yummy!!

Your bureau is gorgeous; my mum has one for her writing and accounts etc but I cannot imagine using it for crafting - well done! It is producing lovely items.

Love your bureau, I used to craft on mine but ran out of space! so had to get Ikea in on the job.
Must spend some time on your blog and get to grips with what else I could be doing with my bug. Need to get to grips with embossing the tan mat is too thin and I know to use card but scared I will use to much and break bug.

A magic bureau ! Will be back again to read in more detail about your cuttlebugging.

I would be able to close the bureau, but it would involve everything falling and breaking in the bureau and I'd have to look it to keep it shut!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can go from tidy to mess in 60 seconds flat!

Thanks for sharing.

A busy desk is that of a creative mind. Loved the snoop. I have 2 bureaux, one of which I got from Germany that belonged to my husband's aunt when she died and the other is an old charity shop buy and has been sitting for some years - awaiting a makeover! They are so useful don't you think? TFS. ~Glen~
