Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

I think I'm back on line!

Hi folks, I think (fingers crossed) that I'm now sorted with my new service provider.   After a lot of unplugging and plugging in and general messing about changing settings, today seems okay.

Of late I've been very unproductive as regards paper crafting, I just don't feel the urge or have the creativity to get going, but I've not been totally idle!     I have wanted to try making jewellery for some time and with the help and advice from my DT mate Judith, who makes some stunning pieces, I've made a start......

These are my first pieces and I so enjoyed playing that, guess what....yes, I have just ordered more beads!  Actually, lots because they all look so nice!  It's a pity I didn't take a piccy of the bracelet undone, as I used two strands and plaited (probably not the right terminology) the beads which you can't see.  I used the Bug to cut foam mats for the earings so felt I would post in the Cupboard.  As for the JT - that's a story for another day!
Hope you're having a great BHM.

Welcome back and be warned that once you've started playing with beads you might become hooked!! Don't ask me how I know that although on the whole I use much smaller beads. Mention of the JT sounds intriguing - hope it isn;t bad news.

Your jewelry is beautiful. I have a friend who has been trying to get me into beading. If I didn't already have so much invested in card making (cuttlebug, folders, nesties, etc. etc.) I might give it a try.

HI Ikki. I'm so pleased you are back in the cyber world. Changing service providers is always worrying. Your jewellry pieces are beautiful and by the sounds of it you've already got the bug. The blue beads are very attractive.
Take care
Debbie

Hi Ikki, what a beautiful set.....it's nice to play with different crafts isn't it? I have also lots of tools to make jewelry but don't seems to have time for that. Have a nice sunday greetz, Mirandaxx

Happily your pc is ok again!

These are great Ikki. Judith gave us a lesson at our little self organised 'retreat'last year but I'd need a refresher before I could do it now. I daren't start up another hobby though. Mind you I probably have enough beads and findings to get going anyway, lol!

Hugs

oh dear! If you are anything like my Mum who has given up on papercrafting and cardmaking to concentrate on jewellery (she's making more earrings than anything else - which are gorgeous)... She has spent nothing short of a grand on beads - she'll only buy silver findings and only precious and semi precious beads... she's got boxes and boxes of them in all sorts of colours, shaped and sizes.. I daren't start - I can't afford not to use all this card etc I have invested more than that in! I'd love to see what you turn your hand to next - you seem to be able to pick anything up and make a success of it. well done.
