Hi

Hi, Thanks for dropping by.

My name is Eileen but to friends in the card making world I'm known as 'ikki'. (which is pronounced I-KEY) From where or how this came about I'm not sure - it just got shorten from my original craft name of Ikemo by various friends along my crafting way! I started crafting whilst recouperating from an accident, and from my first attempts with peeloffs and paint - I was hooked! Now my passion is my BUG! and now BEADING!

In the Cupboard you will find ideas, news, tips and techniques to help you get more from this fab little machine. So come in - join the fun and Cuttle with me!

Cuttlebug Tutorial - Christmas No.6

Day 6 in my Christmas Cuttlebug Cupboard. I have my blogging mate Barbara to thank for this very simple, but stylish image. I struggled at first to come up with a design that would compliment the image, I was looking for style, simplicity, and yet wanted a contempary colour - I hope I've achieved this. See what you think....

I used:
6 x 4 Card in Dark Turquoise
Nestie - Mega Rectangle
Shapeabilities - Creat a flake
Embossing Folders:CB Distressed Stripes - Crafts-too-you Snowflakes
Silver embossed image
Chalk,Ribbon, gem and sentiment stamp (unknown)

Here you will see the embossing using the two folders. The easiest way to do this is to decide where you want the middle to be and emboss two or three lines with a score board. Unfortunately the picture is very dark but I think you'll get the picture (sorry for the pun!)

To give some relationship to the image and base card, I left the image in the die and chalked in a lighter shade of turquoise. You can get a super effect with chalk (or ink) by using a Cut -N-Dry pad.

My finished card with all the bits and pieces added.

This simple card was a challenge, but then less is more is often difficult. When to stop - that is the question!

See ya tomorrow with No. 7.....!?!??!?!......

Very clever....I must remember that. Embossing the lines in the centre and using two folders. Great Card.
